The kitchen of this 1917 Laurelhurst home was the element that kept this house from being the perfect home for the new owners. The existing galley formation with its too-small nook was disconnected from the rest of the home.
The solution was to open up the wall to the dining room and to bridge the rooms with an island that served as a work area as well as a breakfast bar. Everything was detailed with the same vintage charm as the rest of the house, right down to cabinet hardware.
This kitchen is now the heart of this home
